Mysore practice 23-24/12/19

Since my teachers are not teaching this week, I went to Nick's mysore. It is always nice to be there and be guided by Nick. I learned many new things again! It's really amazing how you can constantly learn new things!!!! In Yoga Room, I always feel my practice is more stable....... Now I know why it's the light and the level of the room...........!! On the 23rd, I practiced literally next to a heater so it was super warm. In utthita hasta padangusthasana Nick told me to point my toes all the way and I was so shocked. It was totally a different asana!!!!!!! I was a bit wobbly and shaky but tried my best. He corrected my jumping after utkatasana too. Good good! Seated was all good and I felt super smooth and strong. I was sweating a lot too. With Nick's encouragement I tried to make supta kurmasana alone. It was tricky and my left thigh was hurting. So I just gave up. All the rolling ups were fine but Nick told me to have straight legs in supta konasana................ I really appreciate Nick's push. Pashasana was done alone with heels off. In shalabhasana Nick told me to lift my head more up. Bhekasana was hard..... Is it my fat legs that don't make the pose.... I don't know.. I guess this will also come one day. Back bend and drop back was good. Today all three of them I didn't take any pause. As soon as I dropped I came up. Wow... I didn't know this can happen to me too! In half roll and catching, I told Nick that I don't touch the heels. And he made me touch the heels with finger tips. Nice. He gave me a very very nice push in paschimattanasana. Shoulder stand sequence was done in 'conscious' manner and I stayed 30 each in sirsasana and half bend. I loved the practice!!!

And on the 24th, the practice was similar but today I did supta kurmasana almost alone with Nick's help. Wow... I didn't know I could do it. It was not as firm as doing it down with teacher's help but still... I was amazed to see I could do it!! Yay!!! Today I felt a bit heavier and more tired as I think I am lack of sleep... Nonetheless practice was good. Oh and I felt and still feel very bad pain on my right lower back.. It is bad. I wished it would go away during practice but it still stays with me.. sad sad sad... Today.. I forgot to do supta konasana. OMG. Gayoung.. what were you thinking?!!! I realised in ubbhaya padangusthasana... Grrrrrrr I was too eager to do supta padangusthasana I guess........... :-( Oh well.. Let's not get distracted!! Rollings were fine and I focused a lot on having straight legs with pointy toes all the time. Setu bandhasana was good (yesterday too). Pashasana was done alone again. Bhekasana..... Grrr I don't know. I don't feel anything on my knees but I just can't push. I think I have weak belly or pelvis to push the body down. Or maybe it's really my flesh.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Back bend felt okay but not deep. I lifted okay on the third one and directly moved onto drop back. Again, I just lifted without pause. Now I think I am enjoying it :-) But... catching time was just walking fingers time.. I told Nick that I have pain on my lower back so he didn't push me. I did my best to walk my fingers and stayed there with steady breath. I thanked Nick and he gave me a very very nice back massage and push. I simply love this. Sarvangasana sequence was done slowly and I stayed 30 and 20 in sirsasana and half bend. I didn't feel too much strong in utplitih so stayed 12 breaths. I checked the time and took the rest directly. It was super good but I am just worried about my lower back. On the way out, I noticed Claire was practising so I talked to her briefly. It's always nice seeing her <3 Another happy and grateful practice thanks to the people who shared energy and also to Nick.
