LED Full-Primary 15/11/19

I went to bed at around 1am last night. I think I was excited by the fact that I didn't need to go to work. I woke up at my usual time and got ready. Giselle was there waiting for the shala to open. We went in and I talked to her briefly about Mysore. It's nice that many people I know are going to Mysore in January :-) I placed my mat on my usual spot and sat/laid in supta virasana thinking of what Lynne said yesterday. It was a good feeling. This used to be my everyday stretch before I got into Mysore practice. I think I should do this more often even at home. Anne came and we had a very nice LED class. At times, I felt it hard and at the same time was worrying about my practice in Mysore (in which Eckhart Tolle calls 'psychological time' thinking). Anyways I felt so energised despite my lack of sleep and didn't tire out till the end of the practice. What made me worry was utthita hasta padangusthasana! It is weird why I am always wobblish in Anne's shala. When I practice alone or with Nick and also when demonstrate, I am not wobbly! This made me think of maybe the dim light. This dim light makes me difficult to ground and focus. It was not the mat after all. Or maybe it's the lack of sleep. Enough thinking. It was really nice feeling practicing through Anne's counting. I missed this! Standing was all done and in the seated I still felt energised. My belly was a bit uncomfortable but not to the maximum. Making transition/getting into the pose within the count was fun, especially in marichyasana. I focused more on breathing deeply here. Navasana was 6 times.......................... hahahahahah my tailbone/sacrum area had some pinching and cold pain so I stayed in bent legs longer. Bujapidasana was good. Anne came and help me cross ankles in supta kurmasana. I was super grateful as I just love to be there in the pose. Transition was okay. Garbha pindasana rolling was quite fun to observe because I was rolling with Anne's count. So I was not fast as I do usually but rather slow today. This made me feel I was rounding my back even more. The rest was all good. Today's back bend practice was also good. I felt super light in inversion and utplitih too. It was a bit hard but energising. Other students and I took a quite long savasana (I think even more than 10 min or around;;) and Anne had a small talk. This made me think about the days I got 'hooked' into Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. The reasons then... were depressing ones but the more I practiced the more I found reasons. In a negative term, I think it's for selfish reasons. It's good for your body and mind. You are taking the time for your own self. You have the feeling of achievement... I mean the reasons can be plenty. But maybe also if you can better yourself through yoga, it will eventually affect (in a good way) other people around you. Like I've experienced itself with my mum... It's difficult to say in one or a couple of sentences but I think I know and understand well why I started and am stick to it. It was a challenging yet great practice followed by a nice talk :-)
